On Nov. 16, 2008, I planted a seed of MUKUROJI I brought from Inano-jinja shrine in Itami city. Then, on Apr. 8, 2009, I found its sprout popped up.			It was a happy surprise to find the sprout at the foot of the orchid cactus. I usually put soapnut shells after use around the foot of the plant in the pot or on the ground, expecting they will work as the compost some day. The soapnut shells imported from India (soapnut trees grow in Himalaya) are supposed to be just shells, however, occasionally, the seed remains in the shell. It was one of those seeds remained in the shell, having been used and put in one of the pots in the balcony, sprouted and raised its head on the ground, to be found by me in one late summer day. The balcony of my apartment is sunny with a breeze. Variety of potted plants are growing well here. It must be one of the reasons of this event. Referring to photos taken when "Mukuroji" sprouted, it is likely three days have passed since this baby soapnut popped up.

		Day 135th August 19, 2009 Height : 35cm Overall width : 　　　　　 56cm Watering of twice a day seems not enough as leaves looks flagged.	January 13, 2010 New sprout still pops up and grows slowly. The color of leaves changes gradually from bottom to top.
Day 156th Sept. 9, 2009 Height:approx.55cm　　width:approx.55cm			February 3, 2010 Morning-evening temperature gap may not good enough. Soapnut is not growing in these couple of weeks. The lower part is losing green color.
Day 174th Sept. 27, 2009			March 11, 2010 Day 192nd The sprout start growing again. There can be seen other new sprouts.

Dec. 5, 2009 Leaves are becoming yellowish from top to down. No sprouts are born in November. Seems it is ready for winter. Stem looks strong. (photo at bottom right) Leaves of Himalayan soapnut (this side in photo at left) is staying green and sprouts are coming out.			Day 202nd - March 21, 2010 The early spring warm sunlight is stimulating to sprout.

		Jan. 13, 2010 Almost all branches with leaves fell within a month.	Mukuroji is in the winter mode completely. Soapnut leaves are still staying green.

		Dec. 28. 2010 Mukuroji seen in the center abandoned its leaves just like in the previous year and is ready for winter. This year, Himalayan soapnut at this side abandoned its leaves as well.
		April 5, 2011 New sprouts			No green sprout can be seen at this side.
		May 7, 2011 Mukuroji grew up untill there left no space anymore. The transplant to the open space is required.	It looks like no new sprout can be expected. The mild climate in the flatland of the western part of Japan may not good for Himalayan soapnut. I am just grateful that it gave me a chance to enjoy watching Himalayan soapnut sprouted and grew up.
		Age: 　almost 2 years July 26, 2011 I made Mukuroji transplanted in the garden of my family's house, which has no occupant at the moment. From now on, it's the nature who takes care of it.
In July of 2018 "Mukuroji in the pot" became "a tree". The slim and tall contour reminds me the Mukuroji in Inano-jinja shrine.
